Working exclusively with British flowers and specialising in foam-free, eco-friendly techniques, we design these occasions to be fun and relaxed, creative and memorable.

Flower arranging experiences with Expert Surrey Florist
Our courses offer something for everyone, whether you’ve previously arranged flowers or are a complete novice. Or it may be that you want to create a specific gift, or are giving the session itself to someone as a delightful, thoughtful present.
Whatever your situation, you certainly won’t need any prior experience of working with blooms. And if you attend with a friend or family member, you’ll enjoy the particular pleasure of a shared experience and its associated memories.
At Distinctive Elegance, our courses are full or half-day affairs, with all materials included in the price of your session. Our approach is very hands-on, so you’ll be working with flowers from the outset and throughout, under the guidance of a professional florist.
Best of all, your leave with your own floral arrangement, which you can either present to someone as a gift or simply keep for yourself to enjoy.
What you’ll learn in our one-day flower arranging class
You’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how much knowledge you can pick up during a single session. We’ll be looking at:
• The basics of floral designs, including issues such as colour, balance and structure.
• How to condition and look after blooms.
• Flower-arranging techniques, from hand-tied bouquets to vase displays and so on.
• The importance of choosing seasonal products.
• How you can recreate the arrangements we’ll be discussing at home.
Our Flower Arranging Workshops
At Distinctive Elegance, we run small-group seasonal workshops where you can learn, for example, how to craft spring blooms, autumn arrangements or festive wreaths at Christmas.
You could also team up with others and make a day of it, for example for a special birthday or hen-party celebration – or even as a corporate event or teambuilding awayday with a difference. And a course like this may well offer a more enjoyable bonding experience than the usual night out in a bar, while embracing a wider range of ages and giving you a better opportunity to actually chat to your guests.
We also offer premium experiences, involving, for example, a glass or two of champagne in a luxury, small-group setting.
